Brief introduction
?
Sepiolite powder is a layer chain structure of hydrated magnesium silicate clay minerals. Orthorhombic or monoclinic, generally in bulk, earthy or fibrous aggregates. The color is white, light gray, dark gray, brown, red, blue and green rose. The fresh surface is the pearl luster, after the weathering is the earthy luster. Hardness 2 ~ 3, density of 2 ~ 2.5g/cm3. With a sense of slip and astringent, sticky tongue. Dry brittle. Low shrinkage, good plasticity, larger than the surface, strong adsorption. Soluble in hydrochloric acid, light. Sepiolite has the advantages of stable decolorization, heat insulation, insulation, anti-corrosion, anti radiation and thermal properties. Mainly in marine sedimentary weathering reformed deposit; also appeared in hydrothermal veins.
